Maintenance Manger Desperately Seeking Susan?! No, That’s Not Quite It But…

Okay, as promised I am going to share our (my families) current situation, one that seems to be one trending in America, being “Let Go” from your current employer due to “Recent Events.”

What?! Recent Events?  What the Hell does that mean?  I will tell you what I think it means…

Gaze into my crystal ball and I will show you the recent past… Just kidding

My husband (Robert) was the Maintenance Manager for a rather large water bottling company.  This company is held by and investment firm and rumor has it they have been trying to sell said “company” for over 3 years.  So what does all this mean?  It means that Investment held companies rarely care about their employee’s, they care about PROFIT!

Yup, the almighty $$$ dollar!

Well a few months ago a certain man was brought into the Director of Manufacturing or as I like to call it Dictator of Manufacturing position.   Right from the start this guy became the company’s biggest bully… People from 5 states and 5 different plants hate and fear this man.  Sadly, my husband fell prey to this monster’s evil plan to eliminate good hard working people who gave so much of their life for their employer.   He wasn’t the first to go but was number 5 on the list.

We really didn’t think we (or my husband) had to worry about his position; he had just recently received a merit raise, he has never been written up, or verbally counseled for any wrong doing, in fact he had implemented pm programs, brought the production numbers up and cut downtime in this plant.

Well he (my hubby) is a pretty awesome guy, I think 😉  Not to mention he has 15 plus years’ experience in the Food and Beverage manufacturing world.

So about 2 months ago my husband pointed out some questionable business practices and that’s when the fun began for him.  He was constantly harassed by this Director of Manufacturing from hell.  Calls, emails, texts at all hours of the day started to flow in, we knew we were in trouble.

Was there anything we could do?  Nope.  California is an “At Will” state, so my husband was “Let GO” and now our family of 5 lost our main source of income.

I am not sure this will help, but I am an out of the box thinker so I thought “Hey why not share my husband’s resume here!” (Cool thought huh)

To view Robert’s Resume, click the link or visit the page (tabs are on top of the page) titled Robert’s Resume.

So if you are a small manufacturing business, a big manufacturing business, or someone who knows of a company seeking a talented and dedicated Maintenance Manager, Operation Manager or Production Manager let us hear from you!

PLEASE NO INVESTMENT HELD COMPANIES… Sadly this is the second investment held company that we have had similar experiences with.
